Opsrey Bay, Cape Range National Park

This is osprey bay camp located near the remote town of exmouth western Australia and today I am going to show you why this is a camp you need to have at the top of your list.

Incase you don’t know this is the home of the Ningaloo reef, unlike the world-famous great barrier reef, 1 hardly anyone knows about this reef 2 you don’t need to get on a huge boat and spend hours getting out to it.  Its right here off the beach….

Beneath this crystal clear water is a whole new universe of ocean life and its many guests include whale sharks, humpback whales, manta rays and right here is the best place to meet these loggerhead turtles, why? The sea floor here is full of sea grass, its like a grazing paddock for them.  For me, this is one of the rare places the turtle will just swim along with you. Plus, if you are a beginner at snorkelling or have little kids, this is one of the safest places to swim as its enclosed by the reef
